Porsche AG

Porsche AG is a luxury car manufacturer which is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. The company was founded in 1931 and its current operations take place in Europe and Asia. Porsche AG currently produces sports cars, sports utility vehicles, and sedans. They have a range of six core models which include the 911, Macan, and Cayenne. In 2021, Porsche produced the Taycan Cross Turismo which was the first production model designed to be carbon neutral throughout its service life. By 2030, Porsche aims to deliver 80% of their vehicles as hybrid or fully electric. This has been laid out in their own ‘Porsche Strategy 2030’ in a push towards sustainability. Porsche’s parent company Volkswagen AG held an IPO in September 2022 and it was one of the largest in Germany and Europe’s stock market history. The shares have been split into ordinary and preferred, with up to 25% of the preferred shares being sold. Volkswagen will retain the ordinary shares and continue as the majority shareholder.
