The APA Group (APA) is an Australian company that owns and operates the country’s energy infrastructure. Formed in 2000, APA now operates the largest gas transmission network in Australia. It also owns gas storage locations and invests heavily in renewable energy methods. Headquartered in Sydney, the company is active throughout Australia. In 2022, the business held over $22 bn AUD in assets, with connections to more than 1.4 million properties in Australia. The company divides its operations into three different sections: energy infrastructure, asset management, and energy investments. The company handles 15,000 kilometres of natural gas pipeline that connect sources throughout Australia. They operate networks linking approximately 1.4 million homes and businesses with natural gas pipelines. As well as carrying out its own operations, the APA Group also has interests in several other energy enterprises. The largest of the investments is a 50% holding in the SEA Gas Partnership. As well as operating natural gas, the company also runs a variety of operations such as electricity transmission, electricity interconnectors, solar farms and wind farms.
