The firm sells its products through original equipment manufacturers, distributors, and resellers, as well as directly through digital marketplaces, online stores, and retail stores. The company is an S&P 100 company and a Fortune 500 company. Microsoft became a public company in 1986. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, where it trades under the stock ticker MSFT.
