Curve

The CRV altcoin was launched in 2020 and is the in-house token for the Curve decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO). Curve uses Aragon, an Ethereum-based creation tool, to connect smart contracts to provide liquidity for users. Curve itself is a decentralised exchange facilitating trading in stablecoins, using an automated market maker to manage liquidity. Curve was founded by Russian scientist and crypto expert, Michael Egorov, who is still the CEO of the organisation. Governance is awarded to users based on their liquidity commitment and length of ownership. There is a total supply of 3.03bn CRV tokens, with a plan to have 750mn tokens in circulation by one year after the August 2020 launch. There was no premine for this digital asset, and tokens will be gradually unlocked. CRV tokens are now being traded freely on exchanges against other cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and feat currencies.
